BVCHEA Board of Directors
The BVCHEA Board of Directors is a group of parents who have come together to ensure the mission of BVCHEA is fulfilled and carried out. We are volunteers who donate precious time for the sake of the Kingdom of God and the cause of Christ. We humbly ask for your prayers and support in our efforts to carry out this particular calling. Janet and Randall married in 2008 and have two beautiful children, 6 cows, 2 horses, 2 cats, chickens, a terrier, and a golden retriever. Randall is a financial advisor at Edward Jones Investments and coaches Mustang Junior High football as well as G1 (God First) 12U baseball and Cornerstone Cougars boys' basketball. Janet has homeschooled her kids for nine years, tutors at Classical Conversations, coaches Mustang cheer, assists with Mustang volleyball, and coaches Cornerstone Cougars girls' basketball. She previously coached track and cross country at Hearne High School. Their family attends First Baptist Church of Caldwell where they are involved in Vacation Bible School and men's and women's Bible study. They have served on the board since 2021.
Ryan and Leigh Jones have been happily married for 18 years and are the proud parents of four boys: Maddox, Abram, Eli, and Ian. Ryan has proudly served in law enforcement for the past 15 years, while Leigh works as an executive/project assistant for a local consulting company. Committed to their family's growth, Ryan and Leigh have homeschooled their boys for the past four years, providing both academic and spiritual education. They are active members of Declaration Church, where they dedicate their time to volunteering in the church office, on the security team, and welcome team. Their journey in ministry spans 18 years, during which they have served as pastors, small group leaders, and elders. Additionally, they have been members of the Brazos Valley Christian Home Educators Association (BVCHEA) for two years, supporting the homeschooling community in the area.
Jason and Cathryn have been married since 2002 and began homeschooling their four children in 2012. Their oldest child is now in college and their other three children attend Oakwell Academy. Three of their children have participated in Mustang football & cheer programs since 2018. Jason and Cathryn own and operate Sweet Genevieve Farm LLC, a grass fed & finished beef cattle operation. Additionally, Jason owns BCS Tax Solutions LLC in Bryan, and Cathryn is a teacher at Oakwell Academy. Their family attends Restoration Church Bryan and they currently serve as mentor parents at Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach. They joined the board of directors in March 2023, assisting as liaisons for the football program.
Micah and Allison were married in 2005 and have been involved in several local ministries over the years serving in many capacities including youth ministry, small group leading, mission trips, children’s ministry, pre-marital counseling, and discipleship. They have four children and have been homeschooling for six years. Micah is the owner and CEO of Cooper Stone, a limestone mining company. Allison manages all the things including driving kids to Mustang cheer, swim, baseball, and youth group. Micah and Allison currently serve on the board with Micah as treasurer.
Joe and Katy have been married since 2005 and have homeschooled their three children from the beginning. Joe works for Technology Services at Texas A&M. Katy works part-time as a copyeditor and spends most of her day shuttling kids to Mustang baseball, Mustang volleyball, art, ballet, ODA choir, and piano. Their family attends St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bryan, and they are involved in various ministries, including Altar Serving, Children's Choir, VBS, Victory Sports, and Spaghetti Dinner. They joined the board of directors in March 2023, assisting with communication, social media, and IT-related needs.
