Baseball is open to high school boys ages 14-18 who are homeschoolers or attend a school that does not offer a baseball program. The coaching staff is very excited about sharing God’s Word through the game of baseball.
Brazos Valley Mustangs offers two high school Baseball teams:
- Varsity: Ages 14 - 17 (as of May 31, 2023)
- Junior Varsity: Ages 14 - 17 (as of May 31, 2023)
Coaches will determine which players play on varsity and which play on JV.
Registration for baseball takes place in early January. Practices begin in late January. Games typically begin in late February and go through early May. Coaches may offer practices in the fall as well. Announcements can be found on the Brazos Valley Mustangs Facebook group.
Practices are held at the Franklin Ranch Community Park in Franklin, TX. (Address: 2925 N. FM 46 Franklin, TX 77856)
B/CS families arrange a carpool from B/CS to Franklin. If you'd like to participate in the carpool, there will be a GroupMe group you can join.
The regular registration fee is typically between $150 and $250 per player (determined by number of tournaments, home games, and sponsorships). The team will provide a baseball cap and jersey to each player. Players are responsible for purchasing pants, cleats, belt, socks, gloves, and bats.
The Mustangs baseball team plays area home school, public, and private school sponsored teams. They play two tournaments each year, including the opportunity to earn a TAIAO state baseball championship.
Players are allowed 4 consecutive years of eligibility at the high school level. For questions about age and eligibility, visit the TAIAO website or contact us.
