The BVCHEA baseball program is available for high school age (14-18) homeschooled students or students who attend a school which does not offer its own baseball program. The coaching staff is very excited about sharing God’s word with and maturing our youth through the game of baseball.
WHEN: Registration for baseball takes place in early January. Practices begin in late January. Games typically begin in late February and go through early May. Coaches may offer practices in the fall as well. Announcements can be found on the Brazos Valley Mustangs Facebook group.
DETAILS: In addition to the BVCHEA family registration of $30 (submitted here), baseball players will pay a baseball registration fee. This amount VARIES, but typically will be between $150 to $250 depending on the final tournament schedule, number of home games and the sponsorships to support the team. This amount will be communicated to baseball families a few weeks into the schedule. The team will provide a hat, jersey, belt and socks to each player. Pants, both practice and game versions, and cleats will be the responsibility of the player. The Mustangs baseball team will play all types of varsity baseball teams including home school, public, and private school sponsored teams. It also plays two tournaments each year, including opportunity to earn a TAIAO state baseball championship.
